Healthy recipe

Seared Tuna Salad




Ingredients

  • 10 cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 10 basil leaves, roughly torn
  • 20 black olives
  • 2 tbls balsamic vinegar
  • 4 tbls extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tbls olive oil
  • 4x150g tuna fillets
  • 150g rocket leaves (arugula), stalks removed

Method

  1. Put cherry tomatoes, basil leaves, olives, balsamic vinegar and extra virgin olive oil in a small bowl and toss together
  2. Put the olive oil in a frying pan over high heat
  3. Add tuna and sear on one side for 1 minute
  4. Turn fillets over, reduce heat to medium and cook for a further 3 minutes
  5. Serve tuna on the rocket leaves with the prepared salad.

Serves 4
